FasLaps was designed to deliver a no-holds-barred, cutting edge, racing interface, with an emphasis on style and usability. Rather than limiting our software capabilities by designing a system that performs well on older technology, we chose to build FasLaps for the best user experience possible. For this reason, we recommend newer hardware that can fully support a modern application like FasLaps.
Operating Requirements
- Recommended: Windows 11 or later
- Minimum: Windows 10 (Limited compatibility with Windows 8 and 7, but full optimization is for Windows 10+)
Recommended Hardware
- Recommended: Intel Core i7 (or higher AMD Ryzen 5/7 equivalent)
- Minimum: Intel Core i5 (newer high speed versions work best)
- NOTE: FasLaps will NOT run on Qualcomm Snapdragon powered computers. These systems do not support Microsoft SQL database.
- Storage: Minimum 100 MB free space (SSD recommended for optimal performance)
Display & Monitors
- Primary Monitor: Minimum 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution for best visibility. Higher resolutions (2K or 4K) are recommended for an enhanced race director experience. Less resolution may work, but some controls may be cut off and inaccessible, and usability may not be optimal.
- Race TV Monitor: Any flat-panel TV as a second monitor with at least 1080p or 4K resolution. 1080p or 4K work equally as well. A second computer monitor can also be used. Race TV can be displayed on the primary monitor of a single monitor system, but this is not optimal.
Internet Connectivity
- Required for installation and initial activation.
- FasLaps verifies subscription status upon startup. After validation, it can run offline for an extended period before requiring internet access again.
- Once launched, continuous internet connection is not necessary for normal operation.
